Hello! My name is Kevin Clear. Welcome to my professional resume page! Here you will find additional details that does not fit on my resume. This includes work experience, skills, and certifications. I plan to eventually add blog posts and fill in a subpage with my personal projects.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and pursued an education in Information Technology. I graduated with my B.S. in 2017 from Florida International University. Shortly after graduation, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where I worked at Google for two years as part of their IT Residency Program. At the start of the pandemic, I graduated to a remote role as an IT Generalist with Calico Life Sciences, an Alphabet company. After almost 2 years with Calico, I relocated to Austin, TX and returned to Google as a Technical Solutions Engineer and soon after, Site Reliability Engineer for Google's Production Security Disaster Response team. Recently, I was affected by the major tech layoffs in early 2023 and am currently open to work.

What I Do

Technical Support

World class, hands-on, executive level troubleshooting and technical experience with a wide spectrum of hardware and software configurations. Provisioned, monitored, and supported on-premise and cloud-based high performance computing projects including configuring clusters, authentication, storage, and virtual machines.

Global Scale

Supported all Google employees across the globe on a variety of issues on all corporate platforms including ChromeOS, macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems. Provided support through multiple channels: in-person, tickets, telephone line, and remote video-chat support sessions.

Education

Graduated at Florida International University with a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology in 2017. Continued my learning in the field by attending the Ultimate Go course and obtaining certifications with Google, Apple, and Kaseya.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Co-operated across multiple development teams within SRE that lead to creating new internal processes and supporting documentation. Designed and published projects that were published into production to increase overall reliability of Gmail services when performing bulk actions and assisted with facilitation of fault-injection testing across all service teams at Google.
